The work exists to provide the audience and viewer with opportunities to consider possibilities of truth outside their individual experiences. Paint, wood and paper stand on equal footing with poetry, performance and social interaction as mediums to create a catalyst for moments of altered reality.
Through remixing experiences gathered from personal research, community dialogues, and environmental investigations I build speculative fiction narratives as the reality in which the work exists when viewed by the audience. Works communicate personal patterns of movement, emotional fluctuations and thought.

Most recently: The “Meteor” series relates to the creation of belief systems and cultures influenced by the cosmological mythologies of comets and shooting stars. This body of symbols, language and maps exist as found objects within the altered reality of their narrative.

Somewhere on a Mountain with WiFi

A performance art piece incorporating objects, comedy, poetry, singing, and audience interaction. Patriot Acts is a piece where I have used different tools for a mostly improv 45min performance where I attempt to disarm the difficulty of discussing class, race, gender, sexuality, history, and politics through a combination of content created from news, research, conversations, and personal experience.

Alchemist Archive A glass, wood, and projection based performance space that can be installed indoor or outdoor. The art objects function as metaphor for the value of information in our human archive. The initial performance successfully gave me a space to metaphorically perform the action of archiving various texts, but lacked the actuality of functioning in reality.
New Element: Through collaboration with artists, art historians, and an internet access audience I would like to expand the sources of information added to the archive and make that content available through a website that functions as a peripheral piece. I would like to video the entire performance from a sky view over a period of days using that content and add that content to the website for international access. I would be using art performance to create an actual archive of various areas of art history curated by the general public.
